Chilli Con Carne

'Naked' Look
Colourful!
Completo!
My hubby is a HUGE fan of this dish and I am not. He can eat this dish for a few days and I can't. Somehow, the combination of paprika and beans is not my cup of tea. 1 bowl and that's more than enough. >_< But nevertheless, it's an easy dish to whip up, jam-packed with nutrients and of course, the big boss' tummy is satisfied. I'm more than happy to cook this for him. ;)

Ingredients
250g minced beef
1 medium-sized onion-minced/cubed
3 cloves of garlic-smashed
3-4 medium-sized paprika- in bite-sized and in assorted colours
2 cans of baked beans in tomato sauce
3-5 pcs bay leaves
splashes of chilli pepper
splashes of paprika powder
2 tbsps tomato sauce
1 box of crushed tomatoes (500g)
salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Heat up some oil in a pot.
  2. Fry garlic and onions till soft.
  3. Add in minced beef and fry till cooked.
  4. Add in paprika and fry briefly.
  5. Add in crushed tomatoes and baked beans. Stir and combine well.
  6. Add in chilli pepper, paprika powder, tomato sauce, bay leaves, salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Mix well and simmer at low heat for about 15 mins.
  8. Serve warm with some dollops of sour cream and jalapenos for an extra ommph.
  9. Top up with some pieces of baguette. Yummylicious!
